I wanted to create a drawing to expressed the term "Sick To Death" and this is what I came up with. Granted it is kinda a sad drawing. But it was the only idea I could come up with.
Maybe it was not a little girl that died. Maybe it was an old woman and when she died she saw herself as a young girl again. That is what I think.
So how do you see that drawing? Do you think it was a young girl that died? Or do you think it was an old woman that Death came to collect. And when she died she saw herself as a young girl again holding her favorite teddy bear?
Since I am the creator of that drawing I get to say how it is. However I really hate to do that with my drawings because I enjoy audience participation very much. I present the drawing and it is up to you to finish the story.
Ah, the other way in which I interpreted it was that death was always 'near' to the girl and it affects her her life in a very close way. I say this because it looks like the girl is walking quite confidently and looking straight ahead, while death walks beside her and almosts questions it, so he looks at her every now and again.
Sorry for the late reply, just moved to university and I only got the internet sorted a few days ago
but I don't understand something, why is the death in the centre of the picture and not the person? I guess it has something to do with where you wanted to put the accent.
To me, this isn't really that sad. At least she isn't walking alone. It's funny how we always picture death as some horrid hooded figure, but for many it's something that can be a comforting end to suffering.
Haha, I sound all mushy and stupid. But really, This image is very good.
This is actually a drawing for my art journal. I am painting my house right now and I am so sick of it. Sick To Death of it. I wanted to express that emotion in my art journal and this was all that I could come up with.
Really you like the robes? I wasn't really satisfied with them. I think I could have done a better job on them, but I didn't want to spend hours drawing them. That requires a lot of shading and I had already spent enough time on the shading.
I am glad you like it. Thank you very much for the comment. I truly and really appreciate that.
I like to question art D:

So what your thoughts?
