When I was vacationing in Santa Cruz I went to Monterey and visited the aquarium there. While I was there I saw the most amazing thing I ever seen. The aquarium houses the biggest jellyfish I've ever seen in my life. The jellyfish were floating in the water spreading there giant poisonous tentacles through the water. They looked alien floating in the water. They looked like creatures that should be floating in space. I had an idea right then, I thought that it would be an amazing illustration to draw jellyfish floating in space.
Your photography, your art, it is like some of the best I've ever seen. I'm not just making that up either. You are like the best artist I've ever seen that does what you do. I wish I could do what you do.

BTW. I had reference for the jellyfish. I purchased postcards from the aquarium in Monterrey. But that was all. I just kinda made up the space scenery.
Nice work! Very imaginative (I do like your 'inspiration' story - it's always cool when things like that happen) - your shading is, as always, impressive, and I like the texture you've added to the background - it isn't just uniformly dark, which makes it much more interesting to look at

It was August when I visited the Aquarium in Monterrey. I do not know why it took me so long to get this drawing done. I had intended to get it done right away. I was going for a nebula look in the background.
